COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO – The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee today announced ticket sales for the upcoming 2024 U.S. Paralympic Team Trials for the sports of swimming and track and field.

Nearly 90 athletes are expected to compete at the U.S. Paralympic Team Trials – Swimming, set for June 27-29, 2024, at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center at the University of Minnesota. The three-day competition will serve as the sole method of qualification for the Paralympic Games Paris 2024 in swimming.

It will be the first opportunity for family, friends, and fans to watch the nation’s top Para swimmers qualify for a Games since before Rio 2016. Spectators were prohibited from attending the Tokyo 2020 team trials due to COVID-19 restrictions.

As the Paralympic Movement and the sport’s popularity continues to soar, this will be the first time tickets have been sold for a Para swimming trials in the United States.

“We expect this to be the most exciting team trials yet,” said Erin Popovich, director of U.S. Paralympics Swimming.. “Even with the shortened quad since Tokyo, we’ve seen a number of up-and-coming swimmers establish themselves among the veterans, and parity is at an all-time high in the sport. Ticket sales and fan engagement will bolster the excitement and enhance the atmosphere as our athletes battle for a spot on the Paris Paralympic team.”

The U.S. Paralympic Team Trials – Track & Field will follow swimming, taking place from July 18-20, 2024 at the Ansin Sports Complex in Miramar, Florida. Aside from the four Team USA wheelchair racers who qualified for Paris via the TCS New York City Marathon in November, this will be the only opportunity for U.S. athletes to make the Paralympic Team.

Similarly to swimming, spectators were not able to attend Para track and field Tokyo trials in 2021.

“This is going to be the best opportunity to see all of the country’s top Para track and field athletes before the team heads to Paris,” said Sherrice Fox, director of U.S. Paralympics Track & Field. “The athletes are excited – they want fans to bring the energy, to support them as they attempt to reach the pinnacle of their sport: the Paralympic Games.”
