Stein Added to U.S. Paralympics Track & Field Roster, Set to Make Paralympic Debut in Paris

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO – U.S. Paralympics Track & Field today announced the addition of wheelchair racer Chelsea Stein (Spring, Texas) to the 2024 U.S. Paralympic Track & Field Team. Stein will make her Paralympic debut after receiving a direct invite from the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) due to a vacant qualification slot.
A 20-year-old student on the University of Arizona’s wheelchair racing team, Stein earned a silver medal in her international debut last winter at the 2023 Parapan American Games in Santiago, Chile. She is currently the top-ranked American woman in the T53 100-meter and will join an experienced team of American wheelchair racers that features Paralympic champions Tatyana McFadden, Daniel Romanchuk and Susannah Scaroni.
Any qualification slot to the Paralympic Games Paris 2024 which is returned by the respective National Paralympic Committee (NPC) or International Federation (IF) after the deadline for final confirmation returns to the IPC for redistribution.
Stein becomes the 55th athlete nominated to the Para track and field team for Paris.
